Something is very wrong with my fluid simulation It's weird, this has never happened before. I tried setting up a fluid simulation in Cycles (if that matters), and the result is a non-dynamic, blocky chunk of fluid that looks like it only rendered for one frame.

Keep in mind that the fluid simulator is a WIP, and is still buggy. About the water not actually filling in the basin, that is because the resolution is not high enough (probably). The obstacle simulation is only very accurate at much higher resolutions.

Dynamic Paint was firstly created with Blender Internal as a renderer in mind. It was able to render foam as fluid particles from fluid simulation. Thin obstacles, leaking fluid. Fluid leaking through thin obstacles is a common issue with FLIP simulations. The simulator uses particles to track where the fluid exists and if particles are moving quickly, they may clip through the walls of a thin obstacles and a collision won't be detected.

Anyway, when I try to bake the liquid simulation, the domain remains visible throughout the simulation, and the component I marked as fluid doesn't simulate any liquid dynamics.
